Your mission
As an R&D Lab Associate Scientist, you plan and execute the laboratory analyses inside the R&D team, to characterize and differentiate drug candidates for the treatment of amyloid-mediated diseases, including neurodegenerative diseases. You report experimental data and contribute to result interpretation under the supervision of the R&D laboratory manager and in collaboration with the project managers. You actively participate to R&D meetings.
Your responsibilities
• You are in charge of the execution and analysis of the lab experiments in an autonomous
manner
• You ensure data recording in the electronic lab notebook, with emphasis on data integrity
• You interpret and communicate scientific data in collaboration with the R&D laboratory
manager
• You participate in the development and refinement of new methods
• You apply strict ethical standards and good scientific practices in your daily work
• You contribute to results presentation during internal group meetings
• You contribute to R&D reports writing with the R&D laboratory manager
• You actively participate in the lab coordination (equipment, inventory management, security…) and maintenance
Required qualifications
Biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology bachelor or equivalent. A master in the field of biological sciences is an asset.
• Previous experience in a laboratory function is required (3 years in industry)
• Expertise in the following techniques:
o Protein biochemistry: Plate kinetics (binding, protein aggregation) by spectrofluorimetry,
SDS-PAGE analysis, Western-Blot, Dot Blots, DLS, DSF, protein coupling, stability studies
and/or other protein biophysical techniques
o Immunoassays: ELISA, bioassays, competition/inhibition assays
• Proficient in French and technical proficiency in English (oral and written)
• Good computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, eLab, Origin)
Additional qualification
• Expertise in the following techniques:
o Analysis and production of recombinant proteins (E. coli/CHO) or monoclonal antibodies
o Analytical chromatography (HPLC)
o Laboratory automation (small scale)

• Autonomous worker, with a strong team-spirit and good communication skills
• Willing to learn and to suggest technical improvements
